A Day at the Beach...

We took the trailer down to Bolsa for the day.  My friend Kristie & her kids came down from Chino to spend a day at the beach with us.  Joe's brother, Jared and his family came to join us for "Hickory Huck's famous carne asada."  The day would have been perfect if we didn't have to call the Auto Club to jump start the truck @ 9PM.  Thanks Kris for coming down.  It was great!  Until next time...

Camping @ South Carlsbad State Beach

We received a last minute invite from our friends Mike & Wendy to join them camping at South Carlsbad State Beach.  The timing was perfect as this past weekend was the start of our vacation.  Joe's sister & her family came down to join us.  This was our best camping trip yet.  The best part is, we are home and still have another week off!  Thanks Mike & Wendy for inviting us.

Until next time...

Let's cut to the chase Stretchy!

We had a great weekend with our friends, "the Strethcy's" this past weekend.  They came home for Dave's 21st anniversary of his 21st birthday, (he turned 42 Sunday).  They now live in Whitefish, Montana...

We started off with a perfect Bolsa day, followed up by a grown up night out at Kona (old Sam's Seafood in Sunset), winding up at Neptunes.  This was the spot of Dave & Kirstin's 1st meeting.  We had a great pool day at the Buccola's on Sunday.  Thanks Russ & Lori for hosting.  We thought that was the end of the extravaganza, but we had one more night together on Monday for a quiet evening at the Fraley's.  It was so great to see everyone & hang out.

OC Fair

Today we took Jonah to the OC Fair for the 1st time. We had a blast. Check out the water balloon version of a dunk tank. Joe was a good sport. Until next time...

Ride like the wind...

A couple of weeks ago, one of Joe's customers gave him a "big boy" bike for Jonah that their son had outgrown. Joe was so excited. He brought it home, cleaned it up and "Huck'd" it out (took off the stickers that came with the bike and put his own touch on it.) Jonah came home from school and said he didn't want to ride it and he didn't like it. Joe was crushed...

Fast forward two weeks, Jonah came home the other day and told his Dad he was going to ride his new bike after dinner. We went outside with Jordan & Drew after dinner and Jonah took off on his bike. He was riding so fast that Joe admitted he was a little nervous. Until next time...
